Any advice on buying a cobra repica PLEASE !!
Discussion
Hi all,
Just joined pheads. I will soon be looking out for a cobra replica. I have loved them since i was a child and cannot wait to buy one, also , even better , i've okayed it with the wife ( Although it is costing me an eternity ring!!)
I would like to pay around about the 10 to 15,000 mark. Will i get a decent one for that ?
I have looked at Hallmark cars in Chingford and Sovereign motor sales in Whitchurch. Both places have fantastic looking cars but do seem very pricey !
Anyway, i would be extremely grateful for any advice or do's and don'ts in my quest for a good and reliable beast!
Cheers,
Guy Robinson

Hi and welcome.
You did a good thing by checking with these guys. They are pricey as they tend to cherry pick the best examples.
I take it you are looking at a second hand/ ready built solution. If I was you I'd be looking at the 15k mark. You do pay for what you get. A comment made by someone at Dax was that a 15 grand build will be worth a lot less %age wise than a 25 grand build.
You should be able to get a decent second hand Dax and easily a Pigrim.
The best bet is to find the cobra owners club and get advice there.
