You sure this is still on, if so I'll take a trip out this weekendI am about to be sent there to pick up a few things for the weekend so can report back later if it is still on.
Aldi will deliver wine. Worth a look as I mentioned.

I find sainsburys poor value generally not just for the wine. Aldi wine is pretty decent. I normally spend £8 on a bottle of red. But bought a 3.99 bottle other day which was spot on .
You know the value of wine in that bottle is like £0.10?Aldi and Lidl have a habit of large discounts to attract shoppers to their stores so a number of their wines are sold at below cost - the Aldi champagne being one, their Toro Loco being another - both are very good wines for the price

The aldi champagne at 12.99 is very good. Certainly not a cheapo bottle.
The point being missed here is that the OP runs a very successful, high-end holiday property and amongst his sales collateral states that you'll find a bottle of Veuve there for you when you arrive. Most people will recognise that brand, and whilst a bottle of Aldi's Monsigny might be perfectly drinkable (which I can confirm it is, having drunk many bottles
), it's not instantly recognisable, or recognised as a known good brand. It would be similar to him saying "upon arrival, we'll hand you the keys to a Range Rover which is yours to use as you wish during your stay" and then when you get there finding a Duster awaiting you. Sure it's still a 4WD SUV, but......

I agree, I had a walk around the booze section of Sainsbury’s the other day, all the wine seemed quite pricey. The last lot I bought was from Costco, I bought a few 6 bottle boxes for around £35.akirk said:

The toro loco is spot on. Its won several awards and is nothing like the sAldi and Lidl have a habit of large discounts to attract shoppers to their stores so a number of their wines are sold at below cost - the Aldi champagne being one, their Toro Loco being another - both are very good wines for the price
te you buy in asda for 3.99. Hardy's etc Try a bottle you wont be disappointed. There is also a rose in aldi cant think of the name. I hate rose but on recommendation from this thread I picked a bottle up. 5.99. Very nice. Waitrose and aldi are my go to supermarkets.

When I popped into Sainsburys today, the VC n/v was £35 per bottle (down from £40), so buying 6 bottles would work out at £26.25 each.
