Maintenance cost Cayman compared to Audi S4

Ok I know this is a bit of a silly question which might be impossible to answer but I really fancy a 987 Cayman, hopefully gen 2 if I can stretch to it so 2009 costing around £20k, for this price I could get something like a 2015 Audi S4, 2016 BMW 235I or XE S but they just don't excite me as much as owning a Cayman as the most important box to tick for me is driving experience, but I still need to be able to afford to own it.
Of course a 2009 porsche is going to cost a lot more to maintain than a 2015 car but are we talking by a huge margin?
I see some 987 are only £325 road tax a year too, even the S version from 2009, don't fancy paying £570 every year.
I see you can go to a Porsche indi place and the servicing seems very reasonable, I did a quick search on parts and it could be fun to fit some of the basic parts like Brake pads and disks myself.
Apart from the risk of parts failing would you say normal things like servicing, tyres, brakes etc a Caymen would not be a huge amount more than say an S4.

They're broadly in line with an Indy - some may be cheaper but possibly not by much.
Tyre prices you can compare using Black Circles if you Google the sizes on 18"/19" wheels compared to the Audi.

I went from a 2007 V8 S5 to a 987 Cayman S a few years ago (have since had another 987 CS and now have a 993 C2!)
The Cayman was significantly cheaper to run, regular maintenance was broadly similar if not cheaper. Tyres were also cheaper on the Cayman (19” PS2s).
I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised how reasonable Porsche ownership can be, assuming you find a good indy and stay away from OPCs.
