Firstly apologies for being vague but I recall a thread some time in the last year or two where a poster on here put info and a picture of a campsite that they stayed on, on the Gower Peninsular.

I recall they went in their motorhome and parked up on one of the internal roads on the campsite and were really close to the beach.

Myself and Mrs O are looking to go down there for a few days in November so would welcome suggestions...or indeed if whomever it was can remember posting the photo, I'd welcome details on the site you stayed at.

We've stayed here a number of times, reasonable site and a short drive from the Llangennith end of Rhossili Bay. Not sure if it's open all year though?

https://gowercamping.co.uk/

Also stayed at Three Cliffs, really nice and just a short (but steep) walk to the beach but again sounds like no good in November.

Finally stayed at this one probably getting on for 12 years ago now but was good at the time: http://www.pittoncross.co.uk/

One of my favourite bits of the world, beautiful beaches and not as busy as Devon / Cornwall.

Had a week there last month. Decent site that's almost literally on the beach. Top-notch showers and toilets. Two pubs (Ship did a decent dinner, other place more cheap and cheerful but still OK). Apart from two chippys that's about it for Port Eynon, but really it's all about the coast path walking. Brilliant in either direction from there.

We've stayed at 3 cliffs a few times but it was a real scrum if you anted a cliff top pitch.

There were people turning up at 3-4am to get front of the queue.

No idea if it's still like that or you can now book a pitch.

Hi

Do you (or anyone) happen to have an email address for them? We are off there next week but I need to contact them and leaving a voicemail doesn't seem to work...

Thanks thumbup

I have just emailed them from both sites.

We are off there next week but I'm just worried about all the rain we have had and parking on grass. Our MH is 4.5-5t fully laden and is rubbish on wet grass...

bread crates with the sides chopped off under the wheels can make a big difference!

Don't get me wrong I have all the gear to get off wet grass - Gravel Grids, Milenco mats and some grip track like this...

https://www.youcancaravan.co.uk/motorhome-or-carav...

...but I'd prefer not to get stuck in the first place tbh.

Btw the grip tracks I refer to are superb. I have used them in anger and they really work!

The campsite has rung me now so the messages did get through. All sorted.

Thanks all
