Advice on selling a C Class

Hi all

I am currently looking at selling my 15 Plate C Class Saloon.

It has recently had a major service and Mercedes have advised 'Amber' on a couple of things:

Both rear pads are 80% worn

Both rear tyres are at 3mm tread depth

I am looking to sell via an online company as opposed to a private sale, so my question is:

Will the extent of wear on the brake pads and tyres be an issue when selling (are both these things usually an issue when you sell to a company/ dealership?) In which case should I just pay and get them changed

Or am I better off saving the money and selling the car as is

If you are selling to a dealer or a trade buyer then leave the faults. Expect the value of the car to be chipped back because of this ( if they notice ) but the cost of the repairs to them at trade prices will likely be less than the cost to you at retail price.

If you are selling privately then consider replacing the brakes as most private buyers will appreciate a car they can drive away and use without any immediate rectification. The tyres appear to be worn but still perfectly acceptable at 3mm, even on an Approved Used car.
