Another dodgy ebay story - or is it!?
Discussion
Just sold a load of lego and tamiya kits on ebay - i have been slowly filtering them over a few months.
Yesterday afternoon a tamiya kit ended and was paid for instantly, one of the extras included was a set of additional wheels.
The winning buyer had made contact before bidding asking for extra pics of the wheels.
Now he has messaged me saying the kit has arrived, but the wheels are missing.
But i haven't posted it yet and am sat looking at it and the wheels!?
I assume he is trying it on somehow, expecting a refund? Or some kind of dodgy account?

I had something similar with some LPs I sold. Yesterday afternoon a tamiya kit ended and was paid for instantly, one of the extras included was a set of additional wheels.

He might be confused. He might have ordered several kits and has got in a bit of a muddle. We all have senior moments!
In the first instance I'd assume an honest error and clarify. If he's not genuine, it will become apparent and I'd just cancel the sale.
You are sending it with proof of delivery, aren't you, BTW?

He has specifically mentioned that the wheels aren’t included - unless he has purchased 2 of the same kits?
He has 999 feedback - including lots of recent tamiya buys, some from our very own Russy!
I have replied asking for pics of the kit box.
I only ever send tracked and signed!
But you haven't posted it yet? Why not just tell him that? My money is still on message sent to wrong vendor He has 999 feedback - including lots of recent tamiya buys, some from our very own Russy!

Doesn't sound like a scam from the face of it.. more like buyer-confusion.
If you do have to speak to an ebay customer service adviser, they will be able to read all the messges between you and the buyer - so they should be able to see your side of things (rather than the Paypal usual stance of 'Buyer is always in the right')

The buyer has been back in touch - as others said he has purchased a few of these and got mine confused with another one.
