1st time posting here.

The internal fan in the car just cut out when I was driving yesterday and will now not work in any setting. Speed 1-6, airflow to feet, face, etc. Nothing works.

I have opened up the fuse box and identified the correct fuse for AC, Heating system and checked both fuses.

I can’t see anything wrong with them.

I swapped fuses on the same ampage but still not working. Any ideas?

Could be the motor for the fan. Could be the motor resistor pack although in the ones I've seen the motor would still run at full speed but I guess it could have blown spectacularly and completely. (google Meriva fires if you want a scare)

It's possible the resister pack has overheated and damaged the power connections. You'll need to remove it to know. I don't know that car but they're usually not difficult to get at and replacements are usually not expensive. You will probably have the option of buying a replacement section of loom and connector at the same time. If your loom / connector is damaged you'll want that.

The blower in my wife's Astra stopped working and after removing it and doing some fiddling I found, from what I remember, that a wire inside the blower case had come loose. I reseated it and it's been fine since. I'm not sure about the Meriva but in the Astra you just remove the glovebox with some torx screws and the blower is right there. Not like some cars where the whole dash has to come out. If you can get that far, try wiggling the power connector or unplug it and plug it back in.
