Hello,

I am trying to get wifi calling and texting to work on my iPhone but I'm not having any luck. I have switched it on in the settings but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I am on the FreedomPop network (based on 3). I have tried going through the FreedomPop app as per their website but it still doesn't work. Am I missing something?

Do FreedomPop actually support native WiFi calling? Their website only talks about using their app.

Not every network supports WiFi calling - even in the case of MVNOs - e.g. Smarty dont, but Three do.

Never heard of them. Do they offer the service?

Thanks both. They claim to support wifi calling. I couldn't get it to work either natively or through the app. I have contacted Freedompop. I've not used this feature before so just wanted to check I wasn't missing anything.

Wouldn’t it be easier just use WhatsApp or Viber to WiFi call?

That’s great if the person or company at the other end uses one of those options.

Fair enough, wasn’t sure whether or not those worked outside of the app for the other person. Most people have WhatsApp these days anyway.

Don't know anything about FreedomPop but most providers have this blocked until you call them to enable it. Might be worth giving them a call (when you get signal)?
