BTL morgages.

Talking to a few people they are saying that BTL morgages are becoming harder to arrange. Not sure if thats the case, will be relevant to me as my morgage deal is soon up for re arranging. Any thoughts ?

To be honest it's been a while since I applied for one. However i was surprised at how difficult it was last time given that (in my opinion) i thought was an extremely safe bet for the bank. I owned my own property outright and had 3 other BTLs only one of which was mortgaged at the time and was asking less than 60% LTV

To cut a long story short I went to a broker. He managed to sort me out within a week, cost me about £500 in total. I would strongly recommend James from the below place.

It's nowhere near as straight forward as it used to be...............about ten years ago, as long as the rent exceeded the mortgage payment you just had to basically sign your name.

Now there are minimum income requirements, minimum deposits, residential status, stress rate calculations....to name just a few......
