Having recently had a leased car collected by Manheim, it struck me that working for them as a delivery / collection driver might be a reasonable occupation during semi-retirement.

As far as I can tell, you turn up at the depot in the morning, get into a minibus or a car, follow the inspector to the first job, drive the car back to the depot (or maybe you're doing the 2nd or 3rd job). Then it's back in a minibus or a car, rinse and repeat. It's minimum wage, but it looks like you're paid from arriving at the depot until you return there for the final time that day. The inspectors drive from car to car checking them in, the delivery drivers sometimes arrive a couple of hours after the inspector has left.

I don't know if they expect people to drive for them 5 days / week, or if it's something you can dip in and out of. I'd be very interested to hear if anyone does this work currently, or knows someone who does.
