Good evening chaps, could anybody recommend me a place to have my 32.5/ hicap / 250 serviced (and repair of the hicap after a 9 year olds run in with the on/off switch).

Willing to post but would be more ideal to drop off in person in the London area or anywhere around the m25

Many thanks in advance

Ps. Also looking for replacement fascists for the 32.5/ hicap as they have faded

As above. Naim.

You may have to go via a Naim retailer. Not sure if Naim accept service items directly. Call them first to clarify.

01722 426600

Recommended retailers if required

Soundstage - Cockfosters - Dean Butt or Alex Stern
Grahams - Islington - probably Ray Horn in Service
Billy Vee - Lewisham - Ian Ridge or Paul Cruttenden
Infidelity - Hampton Wick - Mike Burn or Hitesh Pisavadia

You could ask the question on here https://forums.naimaudio.com/forums.php

or call one of the above. I'd also include TomTom audio in the list.

I used this guy many years ago to fix my Mission amp, it is still working. Might be worth a call . NW London.

Witch Hat Audio. Run by an ex Naim bloke. Has a good rep.

I took my Naim 180 and HiCap to Class A in Sheffield a few years ago. Darran is unusual in that he services the equipment himself, and is factory approved by Naim. He’s a top guy, and crucially can service on the day if booked ahead. The savings over the Salisbury service costs paid for a night in a hotel, a meal, and the fuel!

The Naim factory has lost the plot I’m afraid. The service department is of very little help.

As mentioned above, Mark at Witch Hat is superb too, though not factory approved.

Apologies about the fascists!

Thanks for all the advice, rather dangerously for my bank balance TomTom audio is a 10 minute walk from my house but I don’t think they service but rather send stuff to Naim. Have emailed James to ask anyway...

Looks like I will be making a trip to Sheffield or Birmingham, will get some prices...

Thanks again for the advice, cheers

Naim will only accept items for service if sent in by a naim dealer. For older kit I would use Darran at Class A any day of the week all day long etc - very highly recommended. I think he is the only naim authorised service facility now after the factory. Darran will arrange courier collection for you from your home / office - I am 70 odd miles away so I have always dropped stuff off and gone for a wander round Sheffield shops while he is doing his thing
