Well certainly enjoying my new bike (2019 CBR650R) but struggle to figure out where I can put a ram mount so I can put my phone/sat nav!

Was easy on my old KTM Duke as lots of handlebar space to add a mount but not sure at all where I can put one on the CBR, got a few longer trips planned and having the ability to mount my phone would be handy!

Generic image of the issue below...any help much apprecieated!

Something on the triple clamp? How big is your phone?

I leave it in my pocket or use a waterproof armband if I really need to see the screen. Most of the times the verbal stuff is sufficient TBH

Looks like a plastic bung in the steerer tube - RAM mount have a thing that will go in its place and add a ball to mount to.

Then add a suitable mount for your phone, you can have extension arms to move it up/down/sideways so it sits in a good spot.

Could something like this work?

Yep ^^^^ that, remove the plastic bung from the headstock nut, get a stem ram mount and then fit one of many options available to you.

I've used these and they are fine and secure, you can also wire the usb charger on it to charge your phone.

I have this mounted on my brake fluid reservoir on my vfr if you want another option. Works well enough.

Tried a stem mount bung recently and the thing just rotated, but seemed secure, though I wouldn’t trust it so returned it. Plenty of others have had this issue too.

I used the Ram mount before (rubber bung). Will give this a go next:

I was tempted to say ''somewhere nobody is watching''! But you've got some good replies there.

100% imho.

RAM didn’t work well for me but the Telferizer was spot on, hasn’t moved or loosened since I installed it that day - my vid https://youtu.be/IOL11MabjPc

You need to get a hairdryer on all the warning stickers on the tank and remove them, what a mess hehe

Telfrizer mount is brilliant, you could pick the bike up on the mount. Get the Ram arm and connect to quad lock
