Cleaning Tag Watch

I have a tag formula 1 calibre 16 with the rubber strap, I was just wondering what the best way to clean the strap was, its ridged at the back so has collected some dirt and stuff in there, as well as in the holes.

Old toothbrush and some squirty bactericidal hand soap.

I've always found a nailbrush with some liquid soap, then a quick rinse and dry is great way to clean most watches.
