I bought my wife some noise cancelling in-ear Sennheisers a couple of years back but they are wired , anything similar for bluetooth ones to connect to her Iphone X ?

Birthday coming up so budget up to £150

Out of budget, but I have been using some Sony WF-1000MX3’s and the sound quality is excellent and the noise-cancelling pretty good. Ergonomics and aesthetics not great compared to AirPods, but if sound and noise cancelling matter more, worth a look

I was keen on the new Sony ones but the reviews have put me off - 5 star reviews by What HiFi etc and great initial reviews from Vine on Amazon but then when actual people started buying them from 8th August the reviews are very mixed and I'm not prepared to take the risk on a £220 item. So I've gone for the Jabra Elite 65t (https://www.jabra.co.uk/bluetooth-headsets/jabra-elite-65t#/#100-99000002-60) as they have decent reviews and are an established product. My focus is on calls for work but I will obviously use them for music as well. A couple of colleagues have these are only say good things. Got them from Amazon for £128 and they arrive in a few days so will let you know what they are like. I have an iPhone 6s+ but the principle is the same.

Being able to filter out outside noise is important as she flies a lot for work

Her iPhone should have come with one of these so you can save the money and buy her a handbag instead silly

Well played. They are awesome. Make sure you use the foam tips though. The silicone ones are crap.

If your wife is used to ANC on flights I think it will be missed. Makes a big difference.

Reading up on the rockjaw ones the foam ear buds apparently block a lot of external noise so it's worth trying

I’d say the Comply isolation tips supplied are easily as good.

I was surprised how well some cheapo $30 noise cancelling headphones worked on an airplane. I guess fixed, constant noise is simple to handle.

I use comply tips and I disagree, but to each their own.

I thought I would update this based on feedback from my wife who has flown to the US twice in the last month

She is over the moon with the Rockjaw and find the comply tips the most comfy she has used , and they are good as reducing the noise on the flight , she leaves them in to sleep with as well

So many thanks for the recommendations

That's true, if you don't get a close to perfect seal no in ear monitor is going to sound good / isolate well. If you do though they can't be beaten in both sound and noise cancelling. Westone STAR Tips (silicone) are one of the best tips out there, well sealing and sounding and less annoying than memory foam tips.

As an alternative, a bluetooth adapter to continue using the existing headphones if she still likes them.
