Nothing recently, just the usual crap. I do know they had problems with their firewall system last week, so tech support just unplugged it.

Checked all three out, they look fine.

DNS is working on all, from all of the servers.

Mailservers are responding on SMTP and POP3

either it WAS broke, and its now working, or maybe your ADSL was having a hiccup..

Either way, it seems to be up now..

Are you still experiencing issues?

Welcome to TVR Bliss !
If you like your V8 machines as fast & loud as I do, you should find something here to keep you smiling...

Try the following (assuming windows XP / 2000)

Start, Run...

notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

then add the following under the

# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

Hosts File said:

213.171.193.66 tvrbliss.co.uk www.tvrbliss.co.uk
213.171.192.236 dreamytime.com www.dreamytime.com

then save it.

Then close your browser, and then open it again, then try again

If that doesnt work, then its probably a Transparent Proxy Issue (you with NTL?)

tvrbliss is loading OK from here. nothing on the FH system status page to indicate a problem recently (at least, not with the web servers).

if it happens again....think will swap over to some other lot .. JB? Currently paying about 80 notes with fasthosts. I'm not supposed to have >1 site there but they've not complained (well, not since I moved most of th video off anyway... couple of files got links posted on some WRX fora & the bandwidth went nuts so they epulled my sites down THEN let me know, bless). I use some asp here & there, thats about it. Is this a bad deal you guys think?
Actually should make dreamytime my pukka site, tvrbliss taken back seat since getting rid of the blue monster.

£80 is ok, Click the banner in the corner for details on our offerings.

ASP is the only thing likely to cause you greif, given its a Microsoft technology, it really needs windows (and associated license costs)....

If you NEED Asp, then it will restrict your choice of host.. PHP is much easier to host (and cheaper!)

Sounds like you're on the same package as me. For the features it's good value but the quality of the service is awful. I've got an account with register1 (Jamie's lot) and for example, the difference in speed and success of an FTP upload is unbelievable. I've not had one upload falure on register1 yet compared to near constant failures on FH. The FH control panel is good though, and the R1 is far more capable but much harder to use.

I also have a friend who works in FH tech support so i get to know a bit more about how their systems are run (like MS refusing to support them due to the extent to which they overload IIS with sites). Hence my FH account is finishing fairly soon and being transferred over to a register1 account.

I know we are not supposed to slag businesses off, but Fasthosts pulled the plug on our site without any warning whatsoever. Still haven't received promised emails.

Like lots of others here have said, worth moving to a business that can actually help you when there are problems, rather than wash their hands.
