Proof read it first though eh?!

I've no idea what you're on about! What was the issue in question?

The complaint seems to be against the aircraft. What fell off? Was it a bumpy ride? Were the seats too hard? Was it too noisy? Were you expecting a 737 Max?

BA prodding the budget end of the domestic flight industry with this and its related services - Dad was on one yesterday and said it was perfectly fine for a short hop. No food, drink or reclining seats, but it was cheap.

Not sure what the OP was expecting.

They have even removed the centre trays from the seats in club europe to save weight.

It's because they've squeezed 240 seats into what used to be a 220 seat configuration, the seats are thinner, harder and narrower and have less leg room than Ryanair, absolute misery for anything other than a very, very short flight or if you are a child or midget I guess. On the plus side, well the engines are supposed to be quieter and they say every seat has a USB port.

Had to resort to Google......

OP means an A321neo......I thought OP was referencing a BA flight number.

Oh well.

As said by other poster, hope OP proof reads the letter to BA first.

I'm guessing the fare included a generous amount of booze. That was quite the meaningless rant by the OP.

Well i do apologies to all the English language professors on here, and i had wrongly imaged that as this was an aircraft thread that the aircraft Gods on here would have their finger on the pulse as to the latest equipment BA are using

To make it really simple to read

1) the seats are bloody awful not much better that the new GWR trais which replaced the HST

2) legroom must the be the legal minimum

3) the backs are such that all the promotional crap/High Life/M+S food /Business news/Good for sale mags are at knee level and reduces the available legroom even more

4) if there is a USB socket then i couldn't find it

5) seats not reclining

6) the staff hate them

Now i am not fussy about who i fly with. Ryanair/Vuelling/Easyjet i know what i am paying for. But BA should be shot for this abortion of a service. They are now IMHO worse than the lowcost carriers, They used to allow you to choose your seat on check in. Now it is a lottery AND should you wish to amend their choice, charge you up to £34.00 to do this, and you still get a frigging awful seat
Living within reasonable travelling distance from the 'London' airports ,Heathrow/BA is my favoured choice for access. However another 30mins around the M25 to Gatwick and knowing what i am paying for and cheaper, looks like the way forward

Piss poor service from BA. And the 'excuse' given to the staff for this pile of manure

We have to compete with the lowcost outfits. Well BA if you want to do that give a better product to entice the pax. Not the same.or worse.

And apologies to the A321 this thing was a A320neo G-TTNC

People want cheap fares. This is what happens.

Bring back Short C Class flying boats I say.

Its a bus in the sky and little more. Pay to go up front if you want space and comfort.

Also you can check out before you book what the seating set up is, by going online.

Given BA have invested a few million quid in that plane, I doubt they're going to change their mind based on an email from you, especially if it as unintelligible as your first post hehe

Attention, attention all lanky PH airline passengers of the "people who recline seats should be burnt at the stake" persuasion. You have a customer.

Pitchforks are in the corner over there, and you'll find kindling and charcoal next to the door. As an added courtesy, the stake in the courtyard is non-reclining. Enjoy.

The seats haven't reclined on most short-haul aircraft for years.

It makes the seats cheaper to manufacture, cheaper to maintain and probably cheaper in terms of how much aggravation it causes

Being of the lanky persuasion I'll be sure to do my best to avoid one of these aircraft. Not sure what I'll be on when we fly to Majorca next month though

but your opening post could have been a bit more descriptive as to exactly what it was that was the issue rather than just saying "this is a terrible idea" even though this is a plane-ish part of the forum wink

Well thanks for a reasonble and non childish reply. However the outbound did have recilining seats but i wasn't expecting that sort of cheepo on the way back!!

I just wonder what level IQ some of the posters on here have with the inane 5-y-o type replies Still if it helps them get off then good luck to them.

I found the seating awful ...

To all the tall people gloating about the non reclining seats: this configuration has a worse seat pitch than a Ryanair scratchcard delivery vehicle.
It'd be best it you were a shorty with a well padded arse.

Much clearer than the op’s opening gibberish.

I've never found "reclining" seats in anything but 1st or business class to really be any use. The close pitch means you can't actually recline more than a few degrees, and when the person in front does it, you get hit in the face by you inflight meal as the back of their chair sticks out into your row!

And unless i'm a freak (possible :-), to actually sleep properly, you need to be broadly horizontal, rather that just sitting leaning back by a few degrees, so i'm not sure what they achieve??
