Some low-lying, scum-sucking skidmark on society has 'modified' my car in a supermarket car park and driven off without leaving details.

The bumper isn't cracked or dented - it appears to 'just' be straight paint damage.

I don't think it'll be worth going through insurance, so does anyone have a steer on what should I be paying for bumper removal, rub down and re-paint?

It's a 2017 5 series, if that's relevant.

£500ish for just the front bumper, could a couple hundred more if it needs blending into the front wings for a decent colour match.

(South East prices)

Economy repair bumper corner £180 plus vat invisible repair

If full bumper paint prefered £300 plus vat

If the bodyshop only goes of audatex estimates it will be £500'ish

Best bet to find small to medium sized shop

£500 just to paint a bumper seems high! I've just had the bonnet, bumper and both front wings painted on my b7 rs4 for £550. Finish and colour match is perfect and it was blended into the doors as well. Maybe Scottish prices are a lot lower cause we're all tight ! Could the majority of the damage not be machine polished out for a fraction of the price of getting it painted?
