Creditor Contact Question

Hi All,

In the process of helping a friend in a fix get all their relevant details together to offer a pro-rata payment to their creditors; they're going to contact each one individually with an offered amount per month along with their financial statement and outlining the changes to their circumstances which have led to not being able to meet the contractual payments.

Been doing various research online and from memory when I was in a similar position a few years ago, been doing alright bar one thing, hence this question - does this type of contact with a creditor have to be in writing as a letter? Or will via email suffice?

Appreciate it may be a silly one but everything I've come across, whilst not saying you can't email, always mentions letters.

I would put everything in writing and send it by recorded (signed for) delivery, that way the creditor can't deny having not received anything from your friend.
