I just tried Celtic Soul.

Don't waste your money.
It's like watered down coke and vimto mixed together. I guess I'll have to pop it in some vodka or blended whisky.
I feel like a t
t for wasting over £20 on it when I could have bought an actual whisky.
Is this what it feels like to be a millenial?

Seedlip (gin) is pretty decent.
Can you drink it neat? Does it have a pleasant kick to it?Drinking Celtic Soul makes me feel like I'm an actor on a set pretending to drink a whisky.

How can these alcohol free drinks justify their prices when they aren't subject to alcohol duty?
I don't drink alcohol free beer very often, but I'd never pay £30 for a bottle of alcohol free spirit.
I thought I was in for a treat of some kind.I don't drink alcohol free beer very often, but I'd never pay £30 for a bottle of alcohol free spirit.
I'm now drinking Erdinger Alkoholfrei and it isn't bad at all. Obviously no alcohol taste but a very mild beer taste.

exactly. at those prices i would treat mysef to something that IS alcoholic. if i didn't want to drink alcohol but did want to treat myself i'd probably do it with food.I don't drink alcohol free beer very often, but I'd never pay £30 for a bottle of alcohol free spirit.

I had quite a nice non alcoholic cocktail - don't know the relative measures (or what half the ingredients actually are) but was as follows
Seedlip spice
Aecorn dry
Pineapple & cinamon shrub
Apple - lime
Non alcoholic absinthe
I also had another using seedlip grove but i didn't like it as quite as much but still nice and something different to the norm. It was with aecorn bitter, grenadine, and cardamom & rhubarb soda

So what do I do with this? Try to return it or use it to create something tasty?
Back to proper whisky for now.
Use it for cooking? the alcohol gets evaporated off anyway, so wont make any difference?Back to proper whisky for now.
I've never tried alcohol free spirits, i do drink alcohol free beer if I'm driving and bored of diet coke/fanta. Adman's Ghost Ship is quite good, becks blue if they have nothing else and its a hot day, also less carbs/calories than Adman's and similar). I sometimes do alcohol free wine sometimes, Tesco's own red is better (IMHO) than Esberg or the other common one, Sainsbury's not so good. They remind me of Ribina though

I cant see much point in alcohol free spirits, most of the taste/epectation is the alcohol kick anyway, and if you want a long drink usually got from mixing, just drink alc free beer/coke.
