I must have the worst luck in the world, I never catch a break. On the weekend the car breaks down while camping in Norfolk and cost 300 quid to get fixed.

Tonight I go to put the bins out to find my bike on the floor. It was pretty windy but the Africa twin weighs 250kg so let’s check the cameras.

To idiots have jumped the drive gates and pushed it over!!!
Why? Wht have you gained from this?!?

Broken brake lever and scuffed frame work. Now it’s gotta go to Honda in the weekend to get checked over and fixed

No bloody luck

Ah man, I'm a liberal snowflake Guardian reader but I hope somebody strangles those fkers with their own intestines. Hope you get the damage sorted quickly and cheaply.

There is no logic or aim in this, I don’t even know what to call this conscious desire to hurt other people one way or another, even behind their backs, it’s not idiocy, malice maybe?

You can’t reason with these people, only severe physical punishment, repeated if necessary, would help to keep them in check. If that doesn’t help - Gulag type imprisonment, where work is involved, is the next step.

Third generation of a feral underclass that has been taught no matter what they do there is no punishment

More so in recent years with the decimation of police numbers

I left the UK in 92, been around the World a couple of times, and ended up settling in Mallorca. I miss some things about UK, and I always enjoy visiting friends, but I don't think I would go back to settle. I'd be worried about getting stuff nicked. The place seems to have fallen apart.

So the idiots returned to see the bike be recovered by the AA. The mrs went out side to confront them, she said the couldn’t even look her in the eye and run off.

We’ve now got clear faces on cameras, they’ve been reported to police but as has been mentioned nothing will come of it. They’ll continue to damage other people’s belongings because they’ve got nothing better to do and know one can control them

Oh for god sake, come on, idiots exists everywhere, on every part of the planet.

You wouldn't come back to the whole of the UK because you 'worry about getting stuff nicked' - seriously?

Just to put some perspective on things, violent crime was actually at its highest in the mid 90's (about when you left) at 64 incidents per 1000 people, its now at 15 incidents per 1000.

This country isn't perfect in any sense but when you haven't lived here for getting on for 30 years you have kind of lost the ability to make comment based on any real perspective, just in the same way I couldn't visit Mallorca for a few days and form a realistic opinion.

Back to the OP, hopefully the damage isn't too bad - was it kids / teenagers being absolute wkers? god knows what goes through peoples heads sometimes.

I have family in Mallorca and can confirm that there are lots of idiots over there too, Puerto Pollensa (family resort) has lots of issues with pickpockets and muggings.

Well I live 15 minutes away from the Port, and I can tell you, there are not "lots of issues with pickpockets and muggings". Someone's telling you porkies.
Yes there are idiots everywhere, but The Balearics are pretty safe. I have no need to lock my bike wherever I leave it.
Unlike what I see on media, and read on forums like this. I've certainly never seen moped gangs with battery angle grinders, nicking bikes in broad daylight in city centers.

Facebook is your friend here.

Get the pictures online in as many different platforms as possible, buy-sell pages, community pages etc and they will soon be named and shamed.

And, with any luck, someone as equally pissed off with them will pay a visit.

I don't know if sharing on Social Media is a good idea, but the thought crossed my mind when I saw this thread lastnight.

I was disappointed to see that stuff like that happens in the US:

Is that all?

Last September I was refused a visa to enter the USA because of some minor (genuinely) transgressions as a teenager, 40 years previously. An overall loss of £5k for the wife and I.

Later that month my bike was stolen with an insurance excess of £2k; living in London there was no option but £2k. The bike had a Givi 52l ally trekker fitted with my helmet, comms, nav, gopro etc on bike - an uninsured loss of more than £2k as not declared. Buy a replacement and insurance is now £1,500 - protected no claims does not alter the fact that there's an insured loss recorded against my address. Replacement bike is written-off (no fault) five months later.

Still pursuing the claim...

Wish you well with sorting out the scrotes who have damaged your bike and hope they get their comeuppance at some point in the future.

Used to own a place near PP. Return every year for several weeks. No issues with muggings or pickpockets. It's a family resort, well known as a cycling mecca. If there was even a hint of a problem they would stamp it out immediately.

I don't read the English papers. I'm not one of those Expats, who've lived here for 20 years, not learned the language, only mix with Expats, go to English pubs, and moan about the Spanish.
They're all panicking, and running off home, thank goodness, because the World is going to end with brexit rolleyes
I still have some family and friends in UK, and I visit often. I can see how it's changed since I lived there. Maybe you can't because you've not been away, and the change has been gradual. Sure there are nice places, but for how long? Wake up, smell the coffee. It's a mess.

Try getting in to the USA without one - idiot.

The foolish thing I did do was admit that I had been charged in the past - I wrongly assumed the various agencies shared info. Little did I know they can't without your authorisation.

You live and learn.
