Naim Muso QB 2nd Gen or Kef LSX
Discussion
Hi - I've been considering a Naim Muso QB for a while, and now the 2nd gen model has been released I think it's time to buy on. However, I then noticed the Kef LSX wireless speakers, which as far as I can tell perform a similar function. The obvious downside of the Kefs is that you need a power cable to each speaker, and it also appears that they have less functionality than the QB. All I really want it for is Spotify. Are these 2 products competing in the same space, or are the Kefs really meant to be paired with a local music source?
Before anyone suggests Sonos as an alternative - I refuse point blank to use Sonos again. The update cycle was crazy stupid, and the number of times the thing just wouldn't work until an upgrade was applied used to drive my wife mad.

havent heard the latest muso QB, 2 years ago I spent a while listening to all the wireless speakers that were available locally, the muso qb being one. I didnt buy one in the end, as I preferred the Teenage Engineering OD11.
Having spent a couple of years with it, I am still very happy with it - it has a very neutral sound, I use it for spotify, but can also stream from itunes, and bbc sounds app, which is pretty much all I need it for. It has a toslink and so is connected to a blu ray player (sometimes use for cds, and adds a bit of interest to DVDs in the absence of a soundbar) controlled from a phone app, which works well

We have also created a brand new limiter algorithm that keeps each of Mu-so 2nd Generation’s speaker drivers’ movement under control when at high volume levels. The new limiter, by design; is only active at extreme volume levels, and helps to retain the music’s clarity and increase long term reliability.
