Kids iphone tracker
Discussion
I've got a samsung but daughter has an iphone 8. Is there an app I can use on my phone to track her whereabouts. She is just starting to go out with her friends at the weekend and I'd like to be able to keep an eye. She has data on the phone and location services. Can anyone recommend an app that isnt full of adware. Dont mind paying.

Do you not trust her, or is it because there's a predatory pedo on every corner/she's too thick to keep out of trouble?
What a charming reply to a perfectly reasonable question from the OP.Life 360 is great, we have 2 iPhone and 2 android. It works perfectly accros platforms, uses very little battery or data.
On the free version you can create 2 geofenced areas.
We have one for home and one for school, I get a message when the kids enter or leave either of the defined areas.
All done in a family group so we can all see where the others are.
We find it really useful and can't recommend it enough. Did I say it was free!

What a charming reply to a perfectly reasonable question from the OP.They both know the app is there and both have no problems with it tracking them. We perhaps look at it once a week to see if my lad is still at the skate park for example. The kids use it more that we do.
I find it rediculous that some one would not use the technology if its there.
As to "no good can come from that kind of parenting" what a load of b
ksThat said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if we all agree all the time life would be very boring.

My parents had no idea of where I was from being 8 years old right through to my teens when I left home. However there were rules, home by x time etc. Guess what? No predatory paedophile buggered me. I would argue that there are less of them mooching the streets than in my time. They can satisfy their perversion at home, behind a screen.
All of this be afraid, be very afraid sheeite is nonsense.
Educate your kids and they won't need tracking.

Neither did mine. All of this be afraid, be very afraid sheeite is nonsense.

It's just very handy if you need to meet them or pick them up. Or if they contact you to ask how to get somewhere.
It seems pretty standard these days that teenagers have location sharing switched on so they can track each other. At least it is amongsts my daughter's circle of friends.

She was walking home from school the other day, some middle aged man in a car asked if she wanted a lift, she didnt get his reg, I really wish she had. I don't think in this day and age it is anything but normal to want to know where your kids are. There are some strange folk about.
There are some strange folk about. Some of them want to keep tabs on their teenage children 24/7. She clearly knows full well not to accept lifts from people she doesn't know. We have no idea if the offer was totally innocent or not. you haven't taught her very well to make a note of reg numbers/take a photo with her phone. I know where mine is. He knows the score. He can run really fast. I have no desire to track his every movement, nor do I need to.Pothole said:
