Hi all, looking at an iPad Pro as a work toy (mainly web-based software/Wordpress etc). Is there a new one due out imminently or is it reasonably safe to buy now? I was caught between a MacBook Pro and the iPad but I’ve a Surface Pro and this will mainly be for using in coffee shops/on the sofa and stuff.

Thanks.

A big difference for us was is its video output capability, you can download a 4k film and stream it to any tv with hdmi, great on holiday, i bought the 1tb big one and if the hdmi is turned off at hotel then the screen is big enough to watch together like a tv cool

It does video and pic editing easily and will charge ur iphone at the same time, battery seems to have sooo much power to cope with all this, as expensive as a laptop but far more convenient for my needs.

Sounds great. Can you hook up an external hard drive with the iPad Pro?

Duno on hard drive, 1tb was enough to avoid as storage for me, the adaptor you use for hdmi video output has 3 sockets and one is a usb, not sure if its 2 way though? It should be if its not

Eta: yes it can, taken from apple..

‘But Apple's chosen to call its new iPad the iPad Pro, and position it as a tool that can take over from a PC. ... Now that the iPad Pro has support for USB 3.0, the Lightning interface is now fast enough to allow the device to transfer files to and from flash drives and external USB drives.Apr 19, 2016’
