Back Again
Quick update.
I still have a few cars in circulation but having a slight shuffle round. I know I have a couple threads open and no updates
2014 Ford Mondeo (I used this for Uber for 2 years after buying it just over 3 years ago now) - I'm giving this to my Mum to use. Just shy of 133k miles.
2002 Volvo S60 D5 - I'm getting this back from my Mum who has used it for the couple of years. This has been in full daily use and had work carried out. I will be cleaning this up and selling now. Just shy of 140k miles
E46 Compact Project - I still have this car along with the donor car at my friends unit. I have been working 2 jobs recently and I have just not had time time and ironically the spare money to throw at a project car. I'm hoping to get work on this started soon but now the Jeep is here who knows.
Anyway, my Ubering period is coming to an end at the end of September and my current commute is 30 miles each way so I have opted for an automatic diesel daily. Far from the most economical but I can deal with that, I've had worse.
The plans for this is a lift kit, new wheels and larger tyres. After a trip to LA in august, I've had a bug to get something like this and it fell in to my price range and having worked for Jeep parts in the past I'm hoping I can get looked after on anything OEM required.
Jeep Grand Cherokee 2004 (WJ)
2.7 CRD (Mercedes Engine)
Auto
4 wheel drive
Black Leather and some of the comfiest seats know the man
137k miles
A bunch of service history
2 keys
Needs
- OS rear quarter paint due to lacquer peel, no rust.
- 2 front tyres which I am getting part worn as I plan to change to bigger tyres soon
- Suspension arms and links
- Tailgate Struts
Plans
- 2" lift kit
- 30" tyres
- New wheels
- Slight window tint to take the see throughness off
- Renew all bulbs
- Service
- Head unit replacement
- Sound deadening
I now work for a car steam cleaning company and also involved with Chemical Guys which I can let more info on in the next few weeks.
The car needs a good clean which will be done at work when time is free! It's got dust in the usual places that don't get cleaned often, dirty plastics etc, going to give the leather a clean and condition to.
Better photos coming soon, but my car is approved by my daughter.

That looks nice
I was a big fan of these when they first came out, especially the Orvis. It looked like a lot of car for the money. However head usually trumps heart which is why i bought a Landcruiser instead.
I'd love to see more pics of the interior.
Yeah I had a few Land Cruiser Colorados in watch and a couple of Toyota Hilux but they are a lot of money for what you get now.I was a big fan of these when they first came out, especially the Orvis. I will hopefully get some photos this week once I start cleaning her up.
Got the camera out today, some of the photos may look a little fuzzy I took photos at 1000 ISO instead of 100 :wall:
But you get the genreal gist of the car and can see the OS rear quarter that needs sorting.

Hopefully can start cleaning it up this week. Picking up some service bits from Jeep on Wednesday / Thursday too.
