Following on from my Shocking post recently the car also needs new Discs & Pads all round...
So what do i get, going for Grooved and am open from there on in really, Tarox etc etc etc, whats everyone elses experiences ??
Oh, its a 96, 500 with vented rears, apparently this makes a difference ??

I fitted these a couple of weeks ago and now they are bedded in they are a huge improvement. Beware that they do take a while to bed in.
Tacoma also fitted these at the same time and I'm sure he wouldn't mind being asked what he thinks as well.
If you do fit them be aware that the front caliper spacer needs removing as these discs have a slightly different off-set to the standard ones.

What sort of mileage did you do to bed them in, i need mine well bedded in by Lemans !!!
If not i'll get em done after Lemans...
Depends really on your driving and how much braking you do but I've covered about 250 miles on mine and they're pretty much there now. The first 50 or so felt like I was braking on greased discs but they soon got better.
As for noise, there is a little bit more than with standard solid discs when pressure is applied but not that you can really notice over the engine etc.

Worth bearing in mind that you need to follow the bedding-in instructions supplied with the discs and pads. Often, there is more to bedding in than simply driving gently for a bit, and different pad types will have different bedding-in procedures. If your discs have any unusual surface coatings they'll normally come with bedding-in instructions of their own, for example you may need to bed the discs in using old pads first.
