Having driven and liked the 40i decided to order the 45e... anyone else got one coming?

Straight 6 vs I4 in the XC90 was no contest in the end!

X45e looks a superb package especially with a good range of electric at around 50 miles, that’s lot more than any other hybrid SUV I believe. It would be my pick too but with the electric motor you can’t have the 7 seats and we wanted the 7 seats

Once it arrives, (hoping before year end) I will put up a thread... I suspect the usable/realistic range to be more like 20-25, but even that will be way better than most hybrid SUVs I've tried so far.

I considered one of these fairly seriously as I thought I would probably manage quite a lot of electric only miles (lots of local trips) and having a straight six petrol sounded lovely for the rest of the time - until I realised that I would have to make do with 88bhp while doing so! So I got an iPace - 400bhp seems to be enough smile

The new 330e has a claimed range of around 39/40 but real world figures suggest 32/33 being achievable so I reckon the x45e should be able to manage around 43/44 miles as it has a bigger battery
