Whilst not wishing harm on my fellow humans, I hate to see animals used basically as slaves. Looks like the elephants had enough: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-asia-49632026/...

Elephants are amazing animals, we spent a day at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand a few years ago, it is amazing how sensitive and gentle they can be.

By your definition horses are slaves too. I would say dogs are slaves as well.

The clip says it took place at a Buddhist event. You would think they would be against the mistreatment of elephants

All "tame" animals are used as slaves.

The way elephants are treated in these processions sickens me - try watching some with the volume at normal level, the noise must really unsettle and confuse them.

not really as most have distorted the teacings to what suits them and there is a shocking amount of abuse of Elephants taking place where they are used for Buddhist festivals and parades a good example is this
