V8V - forged alloys
Discussion
I'm considering lighter forged alloys (19") for my V8V.
The car already has a lightweight clutch and flywheel (previous owner). I'm thinking that some lighter alloys plus lighter front and rear rotors ought to save a lot of weight on the corners, leading to a better throttle response and general handling.
After that (2020) i'm considering exhaust headers, cats and a remap.
I like the car as it is. But it does feel sluggish at lower revs and (even when pressing on at high revs) doesn't quiet have the immediacy i'd like.
Looking for alloys is proving difficult, not least because most retailers don't seem to bother listing the weight of cast/forged alloys on their websites. And nor do some producers of alloys
Any thoughts on a decent place to start? I'd like to avoid AM Tax (unless someone has a set of V12V alloys they are selling cheaply...)
I've looked at:
www.lkperformance.co.uk
www.prestigewheelcentre.co.uk
www.prestigewheelcentre.co.uk
plus others...
And also OZ Racings own website.
Really struggling to get weight info on forged alloys . . . which is odd because i thought weight saving and strength were the main reasons to go with forged alloys.

Cheers folks! I've read RedsPants blogs before and watched some of his YouTube videos.
I'll have a look into BC.
I think they were also a website which didn't clearly list wheel weights (i may be wrong).
Am i correct with these (V8V standard wheel) weights:
Front 10.7kg
Rear 11.6kg
Some of the cast (third party) alloys are quite a bit lighter than these. Forged lighter still (where I can actually get weight data of course lol)

I am also interested in lighter wheels, and I am also surprised at the lack of weight mentioned on websites from most stores. Its strange considering that's one of the primary reasons for getting aftermarket wheels!
I agree that a few owners look at wheels for a weight saving and strength, but overall, the main reason for 99% of buyers for choosing a particular wheel is purely appearance. I even managed to save 2.7kg just by replacing the coil springs on my suspension set-up.https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=13...

the 5 twin spoke ones posted above are forged. I have them on mine but looking at 20" wheels.
Heres the quotes I have had so far:
Anrky 20" wheels - £8360
Brixton 20" wheels - £6862 + £260 per wheel for brushed finish
Adv1 wheels - $2135 per wheel (£6600)
BC forged 20" wheels - 3864 euros (£3400)
BC seem the way to go, trouble is going to 20" means the car will need lowering, which really should mean coilovers, which means still £6k+ to upgrade from lightweight forged wheels to lightweight forged bigger wheels
