Hi all
I have a leak on the head to exhaust manifold..number 8 so need to fit new gaskets
Question is where to buy good quality items?
Also do you fit them dry or use an additional sealant?
Thanks

I buy mine from Powers. They do proper bore sized gaskets to fit our engines.

I noticed that a lot of the generic Rover/Land Rover items have a smaller bore.

They go on dry. Just make sure that your bolts are tight enough and check them on an annual basis.

There are other routes you can go down, tab washers, studs on the bottom row and also some crimp type locknuts which are useful .

I got steel backed ones from ACT. They fit my V8D modified heads and have been on the car for a long time with no leaks.

Hi there

I’ve used most types available over the years and currently using a set made by Remflex.
Been on for about 5 years now with no leaks so far.
They are very thick and spongy which has the added benefit of keeping the manifold bolts tight

Cheers Andy
