Hello again people. Can I please ask if you know how best to remove these scratches from the heat cover? Parked up near work yesterday and later some people decided to lean their bike against mine. Without anyone else’s help available after work, I tried my best to wheel my bike free but ended up with these scratches. Ahhh!!!
I think those scratches are probably too deep to remove now so what’s the next step without buying a brand spanking new can, ACF50 Anti-Corrosion spray?
Many thanks!
PS: have you spotted that flower behind his/her screen?

I had something like that on my Street Triple, and used a can of Halfords high temperature paint to blow over the scratch. Depending on the actual finish on your exhaust, it might work?

There is no parking etiquette in central London. I've seen a scooter rider simply ram his bike between two parked bikes and stroll off before now...

Thanks! Will take a look at it at Halfords tomorrow.

I wouldn’t bother, if you do this regularly it’ll only happen again. When parking on road in central London I intentionally bought the grubbiest bike from the salvage yard, covered in scratches so I didn’t care. While you can’t do the same I’d just ignore it as it’ll only happen again.

Put simply, scooter riders are s without any spatial awareness or consideration for others. On top of the above ramming between parked bikes (which I’ve also seen) I’ve also seen one drag a bike out of he end of a bay (getting it a ticket in the process) to ram their bike inside....

Claim it off his insurance, wait and speak to the or go full nuclear, stand his bike up, remove the side stand and watch it fall like a house of cards. Obviously don't park in the same spot tomorrow.

Does happen all the time sadly. I particularly hate it when people lean their bike against yours when yours is on the sidestand - how tf are you supposed to get your own bike vertical enough to lift your stand? Those ones tend to get dragged out of the way by the front wheel.

Years ago I used to commute on a nearly-new Thunderace, I lost count of the number of times a scooter was rammed alongside it breaking the front indicators off.

Thanks mate. You are absolutely right. It would always happen again. True.
It’s just a shame that where I park usually outside my office, there are always some really tasty machines eg. NineT scrambler, Tiger 1200 etc. Once I also saw an MV Agusta Dragster.

Just looked again and that it terrible. How did he even get it in there? I think that if that wasn't chained to something solid, it would be getting dragged into the middle of the road and left there.

What a c**t - When i used to park in bays and someone had wedged their old scooter in breaking things off of my Fireblade it really REALLY wound me up, couple of times I just dragged their scooter out of the bay and left it in the road - wouldn't normally do things like that but seeing bits broken on your P&J due to people having no respect what so ever for other peoples things just takes the p*ss.

Should have moved his bike, looks like plenty of room to drag his front wheel across away from yours to make space, had he returned mid shunting call him a prick .....

I'd have removed his oil filler cap or dipstick and signed it off with that, horsing them down the nearest drain. Taken the flower to attach to some sort of home made voodoo doll and plucked it in the wee hours of the morning.

I’ve had this loads, some riders need to behave themselves.. Bikes/scooters left leaning on mine have ended up left outside the bike bays, on the floor, plastics pulled off where footpegs have caught & have even been disc locked.

Yeah, sorry, but if you did that to my bike I WOULD park yours in the middle of the road.

As a powerfully built company director of course...
