Summers Over so i want to buy a Cabrio, Cheap £2k ish
Discussion
I'm now home based for work. So most of the time the car sits at home used once or twice a week then once a month to the office (80 miles away!) So its going to go and i'm going to swap it for a cheap and cheerful runabout.
I quite like the idea of a cabrio, I've been looking at Audi A4's for a couple of K, 3.0 manual , SH seem to be good value and plentiful, but anyone have one or something else they would recommend. I'l buy on condition and SH rather than make or model.
Must have 4 seats,(4 + 8 yr old's need to fit )
My thought's
Audi A4 look nice and seem to be nice places to be,stay away from CVT and seem to be reliable
Volvo C70, Early shape is looking a bit dated, but had a T5 and like the way they drive, no experience of the cabrio
Vauxhal - Nope! just dont like them
VW EOS -seem to have lots of roof issues but it that true, TFSI is quite rapid!
Focus , BMW, CLK ,308???
Any others anyone have any experience of. ??? good or bad.

First gen CLKs rust badly. Second gen is better.
Audi A4 does seem a good bet. Also worth adding a Saab 93 to the list. Generally reliable in petrol form, and available with some decent boosted engines.
I'd personally seek out a nice 6 pot e46 though. 320i and upwards all had a 6 pot iirc.
