Hello gents, I don't own a BMW but my dad does. And he had the idea to reverse into a tree, producing this:

The paint is still good, I wanted to try and bump it out for him.

Is it complicated to remove this panel? Which tools do I need? As you can see he has the automatic boot.

I just quickly spotted 3 torx (2 under the side plastic panels hiding the reverse/fog lights bulbs)

And once done, will I have an easy access to the damaged region?

Any other advice is welcomed, thank you very much indeed.

Unless you are experienced with dent removal, leave it to a professional, as that dent is on an edge and difficult to get right, risking to make it much worse.

There must be somebody in Italy that does paint-free dent removal?

I am absolutely NOT an expert dent removal! biggrin

Sure, there must be but the whole idea was to possibly resolve it for free. wink

But your advice is very much appreciated, when and if I manage to access the dent, I will think twice before acting.

I eventually tried. Pretty easy to remove the interior boot trim, just 3 torx screws, then the rest is all clipped in place. You will also need to remove the boot hook (2 torx again) to have the trim out of the way.

Sadly, the bump was still in a pretty unreachable place, I could not do much to it.

Oh well, at least I tried.
