Advice please.I have recently fitted new wind screen rubbers to a 1969 Lotus Elan.I was told righty or wrongly not to use any sealant.I guess this was bum information as the screens let in water.
Any recommendations, don’t want to pop them out, right pig of a job,so hopefully pump sealant in between rubber and glass.Thoughts? Products.
.
All sensible suggestions greatfully received
Regards Baz

Someone was recommending Sikaflex 221 for this job on a similar thread yesterday IIRC, but check.

This is the stuff you want

It is a sealant not a glue.

Don’t use sikaflex 221 it is an adhesive and it will bond your glass in.

You didn't. Although I'm now worried that there's a TVR out there with half a ton of glue on its rear screen unless I got the wrong end of the stick...
