E46 door speaker differences?

[vx220]

I know this is an arse-about-face way of buying a car, but I'm considering an E46 as my next car but I want one with three way speakers in the front. What years/shapes/models had a tweeter, a small mid and a woofer in the front?

I believe there's a small mid by the door handle in some models?

Thanks in advance!

My 330d does. It has the Harmon Kardon option. I can’t tell you if the non Harmon Kardon stereo has the same no of speakers.

Thanks for the reply, so possibly I need to look for something HK?

Ideally, I'd like a Touring or Saloon, but a coupe isn't out of the question

Saloon and touring have the same front doors, mines a touring. Afraid I don’t know if non HK cars or Coupes have 3 speakers in the front doors.

Nn HK saloons and tourings have crap quality 2 way in the front doors IIRC
