Not sure if this is the right subforum for this but couldn't find a more appropriate one...

I need a digital tyre inflator. One with a display that tells me what I'm trying to inflate to.

Sounds simple right? But perusing Amazon returns loads of different ones, all ostensibly the same with slightly different bodies etc. All have a mixture of reviews.

So I bought one, got it yesterday and tried to inflate my tyres. The first time I switched it on it blew straight past 40 PSI and carried on going until 42.5 PSI (whilst the display stayed on 40) before stopping. The second tyre I tried it on the power button broke, and would only work if pressed on the corner - which stopped the "auto stop" functionality working completely.

Does an honest to goodness digital tyre inflator that has an accurate, reliable gauge and working auto stop feature exist? If anyone knows - it's you lot..

Thanks in advance smile

Cheers. The reviews, like the others, aren't exactly glowing. frown. I assume you've not had any issues with it?

I gave up on that type and bought a small compressor and airline.

I got a Streetwize Digital Air Compressor 12V 250 PSI Tyre Shape Bar Pressure , really good, yes takes a bit longer but always works well, even from flat.

Did drain my battery once after doing 4 tyres from flat, but i did think about getting a home plug adapter. Great to just have in boot.

I use this one as it's fast and quiet, but I always overinflate slightly and then bring the pressure down using my race-x manual gauge.

Michelin Rapid 12262 Tyre Inflator https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001NI9XWO/ref=cm_sw_r...

RACE X RX0014 Tyre Pressure Gauge https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000VZ8S26/ref=cm_sw_r...

I'm a bit pedantic with tyre pressures, probably due to biking in my younger days.
