Alright all,

My 2000 year QV project car has been for sale a while now, loads of viewers and total time wasters!

Does anyone actually buy these cars? I have never in my life had this much trouble selling any Alfa; this one is nigh on impossible.

It’s currently listed on eBay and for sale on this site, there’s only one 2000 year Proteo for sale.

Cheers

I saw the car when you first put it up and I thought it would go quickly, but then again I’m a fan of the car. I have one as a daily driver and it’s just passed the MOT again otherwise I would’ve been in touch by now!
I think as the 147 is available for less and as it’s a newer car maybe that’s what’s attracting the buyers.
Maybe show how bad the lacquer peel area is? Paintwork could be expensive to sort out and might be off-putting for some.
Who knows?
I could spoil your week with a rude offer if you wanted? getmecoat

Hahaha you can make a rude offer so long as it’s close to the asking!

I had agreed £1600 twice now without the spares package, both times I’ve been messed around!

147 are nice but it’s still not a QV!

I’m tempted for sure, but I have 2 145s already plus a 147 and can’t justify 4 Alfas.
I’m sure it can fetch the price you want in time. Maybe consider redoing the advert with less detail?
A more simplistic description as many buyers may not know enough to appreciate the various parts changed and the good work you have done. A few new photos to freshen up and who knows?

Funny thing is, I put explicit detail in all my adverts as I’m not the kind of guy who just does an oil and filter change; I am incredibly fussy and rebuild all my cars until I am happy. That amount of commitment and expense requires details and I’m hoping a true enthusiast will appreciate the time taken to write the advert.

One of my pet hates is an advert with incorrect grammar, poor spelling and a lack of punctuation so I try my hardest to ensure I don’t fall into the same trap.

You are welcome to buy the car BTW! Just gone back onto SORN mind, but that’s not difficult to resolve.
