A really nice bloke who didn't really see it as a big thing.
Do you mean a pediatrist? I doubt a children’s doctor was much use at the old folks home!A really nice bloke who didn't really see it as a big thing.

Totally. Most heart-warming story I’ve read for quite a while, and the best bit is he didn’t feel the need to put it on social media hisself for some self promotion, he’s just a good bloke.
Let’s hope he gets his debt cleared by the coverage it’s garnered.
Agree. Let’s hope he gets his debt cleared by the coverage it’s garnered.

Sure work for free for those elderly who are genuinely in need, but if you don't means test it then don't be surprised when
All this bloke is doing is making sure these home owners kid's inheritance aren't reduced.

James says he had to lay off two workers because of a lack of funds.
The blunt truth is that if they are in need of plumbing, then they are owners and not tenants. So have benefited from 'free' house price increases over the decades. All this bloke is doing is making sure these home owners kid's inheritance aren't reduced.

I'm no socialist, but why can't the properly rich, like that w
ker Soros, give just a tiny little bit of their fortune to causes like this, instead of funding the likes of Gina Miller's lawyers? These parasites make their fortunes from 'shorting' things - I'm no expert, but it seems to me that it is basically making a lot of money out of other people's misfortune.

Because Soros has no vested interest in helping the poor, there’s nothing it in for him.

You do have to watch you don't get exploited though. It used to really piss me off to see how a bloke I used to help out (gardening and maintenance) was treated by some of his largely elderly client base, who were clearly rich as Croesus but would pay him sod all, took ages to settle their bills and generally played the vulnerable old dear card to the hilt.

I end up doing stuff like this all the time all be it not at the same level as that guy.
Asked to go and look at some old dears security light or socket not working and end up rewiring half the house buying all the kit and at the end just saying just give us 20 quid for a few beers when really it should have easily cost a few hundred quid.
