Steak restaurant in central London
Discussion
Macellaio have a few places around. Italian owned, managed and staffed so standards are good. All will do a great Fassona steak with a good Italian wine list. Deep fried custard for dessert too. MY personal preference is Battersea but all are good although Kensington does get rather busy.

Goodman is also worth a look: https://www.goodmanrestaurants.com/location/mayfai...
I'd echo this. I've been to quite a few London steak places and most of the ones mentioned above, but Goodman's is my go to. I usually go to the one on Maddox St.If you ask, they're also happy to take you down to the meat fridge and into the kitchen.
I've been to most of the Hawksmoors now and they are great. My cousin kept telling me Goodman was better, and I confess after a visit I probably agree. Both really good though, and certainly the type of informal place you are looking for. Flat Iron a decent option if you can't make the first twe.
