Some pikey took a fancy to my tax disc and kindly slashed my hood to relieve me of it. Found a replacement but does anyone know if they can be repaired?

Also got a tamper proof disc holder from the Post Office now placed at the bottom centre of the windscreen. Worth considering and only about a quid. The A-pillar is obviously in a radar blind spot as the alarm didn't trigger. They'll have to climb inside for this one.

Can't repeat on here what I'd like to do to them but I'm sure you can imagine.

Lotus themselves offer a good repair service for hoods but all depends on how bad the damage is. Contact is Mel Broome via email mbroome@lotuscars.co.uk

Yep, really makes me and want to find one, tie him to a fence and kick his nuts in

A better idea would be to get a ing huge dog, put it through the police dog course, and teach it to rip the throat out of any scrote that comes within a metre of the car. Then you can park anywhere with the roof off with total peace of mind!

Anyway, with regard to repair, it might just be cheaper just to source a replacement hood from a scrappers or somewhere like Eliseparts or Sinclaires?

Q: What's a chav and a slinky got in common?

A: Neither of them serve any real purpose but it's fun to watch one of them fall down the stairs.

I'll get me coat....

Thanks for the Mel Broome contact matrs and Davey S1, will try it tomorrow. I've found a replacement hood. Black though instead of burgundy like my old one to match the leather. At least it's weatherproof now.

Richard,

Can't tell from your profile but, is your Elise an S2/S1 with Cat1 alarm and hence mass movement sensor, OR S1 with Cat2 and no mass movement sensor (black box between the seats)?
