I’m specifically after passive noise isolating earbuds as I’m on a budget, looking for something that isn’t battery limited, and will be suitable for a flight to Australia. I want them to block as much external noise as possible.

I’ve seen the Shure SE215 but I was wondering if there was anything else worth considering for similar money.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

If passive noise isolation is priority one, Etymotic, Shure and Westone, in that order. If money is no object, custom made earphones are best at isolating noise, but for normal use a balanced armature earphone with deep insertion is plenty good enough.

I used to have some Shure SE530s with custom ear moulds which were absolutely mega. I don't think the SE530s would block more sound than the 215s (well, with the custom moulds they would) but the standard ones did a pretty good job.
