Morning, does anyone know of a service to refub aircooled engine parts?

My 1985 930 has a rather tatty cooling fan which needs painting and I'd like the intercooler surround repainted also.

Any advice welcome

Have a look here
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technic...

There is some usueful info there, and like the inlet off my 928 S4 it’s magnesium alloy and needs careful handling. HTH.

I would give Angus Watt at Greatworth Classics in Banbury a call.

Had my 964 RS engine rebuilt and parts refurbed, the fan shroud treated carefully and (as it was old magnesium) half turned into dust! so was an expensive replacement. The fan was powder coated matched the colour from factory by a local company (I can provide if required) and bolts clips refurbed.
Gratuitous Pic opportunity!

Here's my '89 3.2 Carrera engine bay after a refresh by Wrightune in Wallingford. No new parts used.

I believe Nick Moss at early911s offers this service.

Good on him! Just needs to update his website before he turns out the lights for the last time. http://www.early911.co.uk/html/cooling_fans.html
