Just a query on my NCB
Last year I changed to LV , I had 11yrs NCB , on their paperwork it shows the maximum @9 yrs .
I wont be renewing with them as its risen over £60 for no apparent reason from my side.
I have sent two emails but so far no reply, last one on 16th. Just want to clarify that I will get the amount of NCB (11yrs) plus 1 yr that I put in rather than the 9yrs that they use as their max. A "friend" has said I will only receive 9yrs (?) wondered if anyone here has had a similar thing ?

Thanks for your input guys.
I have received a letter from them saying more or less the same, I had been with Swiftcover for a number of years & they do count above the 9yrs. I still think if you put in more than 9yrs then these new insurers who don't go above this should state that if you leave the max is 9 yrs & you'll lose
x amount of years above this . Anyway thanks again.

The last traders policy I had some years ago you only got five years. I have 3 motorcycles on one classic policy and a land rover on another. I've never known a classic policy to give any NCB at all but it never seems to make a lot of difference when I take out a normal policy on something more modern, they're always more worried about previous claims and convictions.

9 years is the absolute maximum discount available in the market, so it makes no odds at all. If you can find someone who gives even more discount for 12 years, (which I doubt) then a copy of last year's 11 years and this year's 9 years, with an explanation, should be fine for them.
You were absolutely spot on!As above & its saved me £93 with Saga!
