pretty much as per the title - its a touring auto

The car consistently idles at 720 rpm

the vibration at idle seems to be excessive to me (I might be a bit sensitive, as my other cars are 6 cyl)

Also, if i actually 'look' at the engine, it is visibly vibrating / shaking.
Is this normal ?
Doesn't seem it to me.

When driving at any speed / rpm, no vibration at all

Any suggestions on where to look to resolve ?

Engine mounts maybe?

Have a look at the front crank damper - it may well be delaminating. You ned to replace it before it launches through the radiator, as they can do.

That's it. Not too bad once the fan assembly is out (10 minutes) and you get a 3/4 inch breaker bar on the 22mm pulley bolt.
