I think authenticity is massively overrated. Nothing wrong with catering to the local population when preparing foreign food. Indian/Chinese/etc. food adapted for English tastes.

Clearly slightly decides opinion! On PH who knew.

I love the one in Manchester. It’s a gem.

I am of Manchester heritage and have spent years and gained many stone and lost many due to the gems and absolute dross on Wilmslow Road. The famous curry mile in Rusholme. Sadly that isn’t what it was but there’s still a few good ones.

Anyway the point of my post was I received the Dishoom cookbook today. I think it’s wonderful. Highly recommended.
