Evening all,

Does anyone know where these can be purchased from? Ideally similar to the Porsche 928 engine that Clarkson converted into a coffee table in one episode of top gear last series.

I think one of these would look excellent as a centre piece in a bachelor pad!! :D

I have googled but wasn't of much use!

Thanks

From those pics i can totally agree that that engine would look fantastic!!!

It seems from your topic that it would be an ideal coffee table for many of us petrolhead minded. I would like to take it off your hands and convert it to a table but i was only after a range of prices just now. Thanks though.

lol, no you didn't put me off!

If i was seriously looking for a V8 (now V6) coffee table i would have given you a call about it! I was just curious to the prices of these things.

I'm sure someone on PH must have the time/need to convert this engine to a table!? It would look awesome!

Good luck selling it on!

Look at this table;

That one is a Rover V8 from here.

Nervous, why not try contacting them to see if they will take the engine off you to convert??

I dunno, the sideboard in the background does't really do it for me.

they have done some really interesting projects. the tables are a very simple design (i had always imagined mine as being in a wooden case with glass on top), but it looks really good.
i was planning on making a coffee table for my house over the summer out of some large bits of lime tree that i have, but now i need to see what motor parts i can get for very little money.

off to yell.com to see where my nearest scrap yard is.....

if anyone on here has an old engine (it doesnt have to run!) that they think would look good in a table project then send me an email.
my budget is fairly slim, but i am not looking for anything special, just something that looks ok.
