Decided to offer a benefits package to help attract and retain employees, one thing within it is private health.
I want a bit of prior info before I get companies in but what do I need to look out for, downside etc. I’m thinking they qualify after the 3 month probation?
Finally any recommendations? I’m with vitality and I don’t like them, seen like a car warranty company that never wants to pay out.

I use WPA as I know a local rep and quite a few people I know have used WPA for years with great reviews.

Personal friend also uses them and had wrist surgery pretty rapidly and various other things such as physio. Always raving about them.

I've not needed to use it yet, but I can claim back dental costs & £200 a year against eye checks and glasses.

Worth a look! I can give you number of my rep if you like, she'd likely pass you onto someone in your area though.

For my mates and I we love vitality, half price gym memberships, incentives if you go (free coffee/cinema/iwatches)

When I smashed my finger to bits a few years back and the NHS forgot about me they’d operated in one of the best hospitals, with one of the best consultants within 36 hours.

Yeah all mines through the company although it’s a BIK that I generally write off as a dividend each year.

Will send you her details when I get home later.

Not trying to steal business from dalenorth but Costco do WPA discounts which are quite good. They won't take me due to medical history but they'd be much cheaper than bupa if they did!

Yeah WPA are certainly worth a quote too, we have an agency with them too so could apply a similar discount

I did the same idea with our co and used Vitality. The product is good, but by God the admin and online setup were ste.

Might be better now, as it's about a year since I last looked at it.

If you are a small business with few employees you may want to look at one of the group based schemes set up by a benefits broker/consultancy. You will have less flexibility in terms of changing your type of cover and benefit level but in theory benefit from the larger discount. Your premium may also be more steady as one big claim in a small membership can skew your claim profile whereas in a larger pool it's potentially more easily absorbed.
