Hi all
Penalty notice from a Falmouth car park. They are saying I didnt pay fully for time there.
Luckily I found the ticket they say I entered at 2pm fair enough but my ticket shows 2.03.....the 3 minutes it took to get my change from boot walk to pay meter wait while people in front messed about inputting reg and finding change.....I have appealed but its outrageous surely there is a period of grace in getting the ticket

It's an anpr operated car park so taking the time you entered car park not when you parked or when you purchased ticket. Appeal as registered keeper and not driver that the have not given you the grace period allowed to park up and then purchase ticket.
If they reject it you will get a popla code. Worth posting on Pepipoo too as there will be many disgruntled people in the same boat

That’s outrageous logic. Are they ticketing everyone who enters the car park? Three minutes - how fast do they expect you to park up and buy a ticket?
Thinking about it though, isn’t it usually just the expiry time shown on a parking ticket? How are they matching the time you entered with the time you bought the ticket? Did you have to input your reg on the ticket machine?

Out of curiosity which Falmouth car park?
The queuing for the pay machines - the ones that are working that is - at the ones by the Maritime museum can be a PITA in the summer & that's after driving round in circles waiting for a space! So I'm not surprised that one of those would take in excess of 3 minutes after entry.

Hi not being funny how can it be a penalty?...3 minutes to drive in park get out go to the paystation wait behind others who are in putting with credit cards trying to remember their forgotten numberplate...messing about with credit cards and change etc ...3 minutes...no they are conmen hoping you have lost your ticket ..Premier Park is the name of this mob.....just makesure you park on double yellows outside and then go and get your ticket or thoughtform it as you drive in......sickened me to be honest scamming filthStandard practice of theirs, well documented, but they won't pursue these through court as the land is covered by bye-laws.
