Today’s youth - another rant
Discussion
A management colleague of mine recently gave some guidance to a junior employee on a project. A day later she was called to a meeting by her manager who said that the junior employee had complained about the original meeting. The senior manager said that we should all be concerned about employee’s mental health.
WTF?
There was actually an article on the BBC news app recently about how people were concerned about the new i phone as the three camera lens could trigger their anxiety about small holes.
I repeat myself, WTF?
What must the generations who went through wars think of they way modern life is turning?

I think to be honest your use of the word junior suggests negative connotations - I would advise editing your original post.
Junior - as in having a 2 years experience versus my friends 15+.According to the Cambridge Dictionary, one of its meaning is “ someone who has a job at a lower level in an organisation.” What else is it?

1. Does your colleague have any idea how they sound when giving "guidance"? (would it sound to anyone else like bullying criticism?)WTF?

2. Does the junior have a recognised (by science), diagnosed (by a professional, not a group of friends on social media or a quick google search/bandwagon jump) declared (to the company) and acknowledged (by the company) mental health issue?
3. what did the colleague actually say to the junior, what was the exact nature of the junior's complaint and what did the senior manager actually say to the colleague?
Unless you, and by proxy, we, know the specific and accurate answers to the above, your OP is just a rant. Unless the colleague was formally reprimanded, forget about it and move on, having marked the junior's card as a whinger who needs handling with kid gloves.
