This time in two weeks we shall be gathering at Le Tunnel for the annual pilgrimage to Le Mans. Some questions:

1. Has anyone had any paperwork or acknowledgement from Cadillac Europe for the Bronze package yet?
2. Has everyone heard from Gerard? Got mine this morning
3. Is anyone silly enough to pay 200 Euro for i track lap?
4. I intend to buy my track tickets upon arrival to see the night qualifying. Did you know that you get ACO discount at the turnstiles if you show your membership card?

5. Are you ready for this???????

Gentleman, it is nearly time to " START YOUR ENGINES"

1. I got an email from Caddy Shack Europe ages ago acknowledging.
2. Spoke to Gary Garwood's Missus this morning and she mentioned Gerard's email. I can't check my home email until tomorrow.
3. €200 for a track lap only if it is in a C6R
4. Got my track tickets couple of weeks ago if you order them through the ACO and quote your membership number you also get the same discount.

The Le Mans shirts will be with me on Monday I hope.

Got a mail from Gerard today and also from Corvette Europe. Interestingly it says that there is breakfast organised at the truck for 08.00 on Saturday but the Corvette Bronze area isn't open until 09.00 ???? Doooh!

1. Got the tickets by email today from Cadillac Europe
2. What is the email from Gerard? - can anyone copy me in please.
3. Not me
4. Are you referring to the CCCUK membership card - what is the discount.

Apologies for my ignorance but I am a Le Mans virgin so I need you boys to be gentle with me. (Got my Sat Nav today so I will soon know where Le Mans is once I've figured out how it works)

Gerard Planche is the man from the French Corvette owners club who works for GM and is the man that arranges everything for Caddy Shack Europe.
I will forward his email to those that are lacking tonight, if Eric or one of the others doesn't beat me to it. You need to complete the attached questionaire and return it to Gerard.

ACO membership (bit like (actually a lot like) RAC membership) = discounted tickets etc. well worth doing if you are going as it also includes breakdown services in France.

Unfortunatley I booked at Christmas before the Corvette packages came out.

So I will not be using the hospitality packages but have a grandstand ticket instead.

I am travelling over on the 8.28 train on the Thursday and hope to see some of you on the Friday morning.

We're having dinner at a restaurant in town that night. Frustratingly we book so far ahead to get fixed up that we're already committed by the time the Corvette/Cadillac packages are announced and there's no point paying twice. Hence bronze package covers our needs.

Can you copy me Gerad e-mail

How much is ACO membership and are there different levels(Does the recovery only transport around France or will it get you home, in worst case scenario)

Thanx

ACO membership is called Club 24 and is about €80, it entitles you to up to 6 discounted tickets for Le Mans, use of the ACO facilities at Le Mans (i.e. nicer toilets!!) Also breakdown services in France, but have no idea what this entitles you to.
For European cover I use the RAC and the one time I have had to use them (fingers crossed only) they were excellent.
