Investment Fees - Are these about right.
Discussion
Background.
My wife and I have a combined annual income of around £200k. She started her own company up earlier this year which is doing very well.
We thought that as she is now in her mid 30s and me early 40s it was time to put the sensible head on and look at setting up for our future and retirement.
We went to see a financial advisor/investment company this afternoon. Fees are as follows
£2k - investment review and financial planning plan (one off fee)
£125 per month management fee.
1% input fee
0.5% extraction fee.
This seems like an awful lot of money but is advertised as a complete financial management plan.
Do these fees seem reasonable. If it’s the norm then so be it.

Before you pay them anything at least read through the sticky:

Why anyone should pay 0.5% to take their own money out is beyond me.
